Sinn Féin MLA Emma Rogan has welcomed that urgent maintenance work is to be carried out at Shanvally Way in Drumaness.
‘I am happy to report that after being in contact with the relevant agency’s they have agreed to tackle this major health and safety problem in Drumaness.
Currently, the footpath all along this area has become uneven and dangerous due to roots from adjacent trees. After myself and party colleague, Cllr John Rice spoke to residents in the area we were made aware of the issue with one elderly woman having tripped and broke her shoulder due to the fall.
‘This is unacceptable, and I am glad the repair work will be started as soon as possible to tackle this issue.’
