Cllr Róisín Howell has requested that the DFI Road Service carry out urgent repairs to Burrenwood Road in Castlewellan.
Róisin herself from Castlewellan said;
‘I raised this issue with the Department of infrastructure this week after being contacted by numerous residents who have expressed their concerns about this roadway. Although this is not deemed a main road it is, however, the only access for multiple housing developments with a couple of hundred houses here.’
‘I, therefore, feel the roadway should be repaired as soon as possible, as the longer it takes to be resolved the more the road will continue to deteriorate resulting in costly damage to residents vehicle and I have expressed this to the road service.’
